It is common for young children to use the Internet today. There is more room for bad things on the internet. In this article we will talk about how they impose some kind of limit. It is difficult to completely prevent young children from accessing web pages with adult content. But certain software programs and applications can help protect and prevent children. This does not show them much adult content.

First method -  Block adult content using OpenDNS website.

First go to the OpenDNS website by following the link below.

Go to OpenDNS

First click on Learn more button  under Consumer.

Now you can choose a Option. By this OpenDNS Family Shield is the best option. Also, this service is completely free. Click on SETUP GUIDE. Now you will be shown an IP address. See the image below.

Copy these IP addresses and go to the control panel of the computer. Click on Network and Internet from the Control Panel. Click on its Network and Sharing Center. (Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center) At the top it shows the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. See the image below.

Click on that Wi-Fi network and open a window like below. Click Properties from this window.

You will now see a window similar to the one below. Double-click on Internet Protocol Vision 4 here.

Now you have a window like below. Click on its use flowing DNS server address and enter the two IP addresses you copied earlier.

Click the OK button to see if you can access an adult website.

Second Method - Google  Safe Search Filters

You can use this opportunity when using Google search engine. First go to Google as shown in the image below and click on the settings below

Select Search Settings from Settings and a window similar to the one below will open. Check Turn on SafeSearch and click the Save button below.

Choose Google as your search engine here. Be sure to turn Google into your child's usual search engine.
