How do I set a password for my personal folders and files?

This is the best way to protect your files and folder without having any additional application, also you can use this method. sounds good ! Ok Let's Go to work,

First you must download little a software. software name is WinRAR.  

  • What is purpose of WinRAR?

WinRAR is a powerful compression, archiving and archive managing software tool. With WinRAR, users can compress or archive multiple electronic files into single and significantly smaller size folders.

Ok check if you already have this software on your computer. Do not install if already installed. If you want to download WinRAR registered software, there is a link at the end of the article.

Applying a password to a file

    Step 1 

 Select the file or folder where you want to enter the password and then right Click. From the menu that appears, select "Add to Archive".

                      


Step 2 

 You will see a window similar to the one below. Then click on the Set Password button.




Step 3 

OK, now enter a password for the folder. Enter the password of your choice in the box under  Enter Password and in the box below it (Re-enter password) and press the OK button.



OK, we have now successfully entered the password. Now you will see a RAR file as shown below. Double-clicking on it will open a window to apply the keyword. You can access your folder by entering the correct password.




Note -    What does this "encrypt file name" mean,
  •  If the check mark "Encrypt file name" is used
            When you open a file with a password, you must first enter the password.
  •     If the "Encrypt file name" is not checked,

You can see the details of the number of files in that folder, such as file names, but the password you entered is required to activate the file.
